1828 DORSET/'SHAFTESBURY PENNY POST' (DT461). Letter Ash Grove to 'Mefsr Aldridge Solcrs Poole' dated 31 Jany 28 with manuscript 'post paid 9'. On front fair strike boxed 'Shaftesbury/Py P.' hand stamp in black (DT461), filing fold affects, also very fine strike boxed 'No.10' receiver's house hand stamp of either Donhead or Ludwell in black.
