1846 PARLIAMENTARY MAIL/'HOUSE-OF-COMMONS' UDC IN RED. A fine wrapper from London addressed to 'Thos William Evans Esqre at John Gisbornes Esqre, Secretary of the Senate Corfu Ionian Islands', prepaid '1/3'. On front good strike of the extremely rare 'HOUSE-OF-COMMONS' udc in red, apparently only one other example of this hand stamp has been recorded, struck in black on an 1853 entire to Frankfurt. Also on front London PAID date stamp 27 FE 1846. (Ref 117210).
