    1833 TURNED LETTER USED IN LONDON WITH 'M.S' MISSORTED HAND STAMP (L563). Fine letter from America Square to 'Mr. L. E. Wood, W. Colville's Nursery, King's Road Chelsea' with hand stamp '3' charge mark, good strike 'T.P/Minories' London Twopenny Post receiver's hand stamp in red (L504) and London date stamp 7 OC 1833. Letter turned and readdressed to 'J. Pike Esq. Solicitor, Boyle Street, Savile Row' dated 7 Oct 33 with hand stamp '2' charge mark, light strike 'T.P/Sloan St' hand stamp in red and very fine strike of the rare unframed 'M.S' missorted hand stamp in red (L563). The letter should not have been transferred to the General Post and upon return to the Penny Post the missorted hand stamp was applied to indicate this. Very fine usage. (Ref 125707).
