1797 MAIL HAY, BRECONSHIRE TO LONDON WITH 'HAY' HANDSTAMP (W1115). Fine letter from Hay dated Feb 8th 1797 to Grays Inn, London initially charged '8' re-rated '1/4' and on front fine strike 'HAY' straight line handstamp in black (W1115). On reverse London date stamp FE 11 97. (Ref 143014).
