1841 1D MULREADY ADVERT 'CLERICAL MEDICAL AND GENERAL LIFE ASSURANCE SOCIETY' AT LOWER RIGHT 'CHARLES LAWRENCE, SOLICITOR, AGENT, CIRENCESTER' (SPEC MA112h). Used 1d Mulready wrapper, stereo A242, some creasing, rear flap thinned and slight soiling, from Cirencester to 'Mefsrs Paul, Solicitors, Tetbury' with light strike Cirencester Maltese cross in red and on reverse 'CIRENCESTER' date stamp JA 29 1841. Within printed advert 'Clerical, Medical, and General LIFE ASSURANCE SOCIETY' dated March 5th 1840 and at bottom right 'can be obtained of CHARLES LAWRENCE, SOLICITOR, Agent, Cirencester' (Spec MA112h). Faults as described but one of only two used examples recorded to date. (Ref 141768).
