Good used 1d Mulready wrapper, stereo A64, slight faults to corners, slight soiling and small part missing from opening, London to 'Mr. Geo. Turner, Honiton, Devon' cancelled very fine strike red Maltese cross of London and on reverse London date stamp NO 19 1840. Within fine printed advert 'Clerical, Medical, and General LIFE ASSURANCE SOCIETY' dated March 5th 1840 and bottom middle 'Office, 78, Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury, London' (Spec MA106b). Imperfections as described but one of only two used examples recorded to date. (Ref 141766).
