1841 MAIL LITTLEHAMPTON, SUSSEX TO ARUNDEL WITH 1D RED PLATE 1C (SG7)(SB). Fine large part wrapper from Littlehampton to 'Richard Holmes Esq, Arundel' with fine 1d red plate 1c (SG7 Spec AS8) lettered SB with four good to large margins and cancelled light strike black Maltese cross. On reverse good strike 'LITTLEHAMPTON' udc in black (SX851), on front 'ARUNDEL' date stamp JA 17 1842. Stamp shows plate 1c characteristic 'B' MUCH THINNER. (Ref 137894).
