Wrapper from Lyme to solicitors in Jermyn Street London with 1d black (SG2) from plate 8 lettered KF, clearly showing the "O" flaw, touched at left and upper right otherwise good margins, tied red M.C. of Lyme. On reverse LYME date stamp MY 26 1840 with London receiver 28 DE 1840. Filing folds clear of stamp. Good provincial usage of the Penny Black. (Ref 111733).
