1861 MAIL NEWARK, NOTTS TO NEWMARKET WITH DIE 2 1D PL.64 ROSE-RED ON WHITE PAPER (SG40)(KF) IS GENUINE. 1861 envelope Newark to Newmarket, tear at left well clear of stamp, with die 2 1d plate 64 rose-red on white paper (SG40) lettered KF tied light strike 'NEWARK/541' duplex AP 8 61. Stamp several short perforations at right, BPA yellow cert 38577 states 'stamp, cancellation and address have all lost original colour', nevertheless a very scarce plate on cover. (Ref 84024).
