Bidefored, Devon' with very fine 1d (SG8) lettered OH, fine four margins and tied neat strike '802' numeral of Bampton. On reverse 'BAMPTON-D' date stamp JY 3 1849 and 'BIDEFORD' date stamp JY 4 1849. Letter written by a 'A.P. Browne' and on reverse flap very fine embossed red wafer seal with the writer's initials 'APB'. (Ref 145358).
