Envelope with unusual blue edging from London to 'The Honble Mrs Harriot Cocks, Long Ditton, Kingston on Thames' with 1d (SG8) lettered MH tied fine strike London '17' Inland Office numeral. On reverse 'KINGSTON' date stamp SE 27 1845 and very fine white on red oval wafer seal depicting a horn with text 'ECOUTEZ MA VOIX', 'listen to my voice'. Attractive and unusual. (Ref 145346).
