Letter used in London from the Metropolitan Life Assurance Society 3rd April 1852 to 'G Ord Esq, Brixton Hill' with 1d (SG8) lettered HD, touched at right otherwise very large margins and tied fine strike London '76' District Office numeral. On reverse very fine 'METROPOLITAN LIFE OFFICE' embossed wafer seal in red and London date stamp AP 3 1852. Fine usage. (Ref 145344).
