On front manuscripts 'Via Marseilles' and 'prepaid'. Although stamps are coorectly paying the 10d ¼ oz - ½ oz rate surcharge handstamp 'DEFICIENT POSTAGE 4d/HALF-FINE 3d = 7d' has been applied but subsequently deleted. Unusual. (Ref 145224).
