Envelope used in London from Charing Cross to 'Sir T Phillips Bart, Athenum Club, SW' with fine Die 2 1d alphabet IV plate 50 (SG42) lettered JB tied fine strike 'W.C 1' cancellation. Redirected to Middle Hill, Broadway, Worcester' with a second 1d Die 2 1d alphabet III plate 66 apparently lettered JB (corner fault) tied fine strike London 'S.W 16' cancellation with second strike of same duplex at upper right DE 28 63. On reverse 'CHARING CROSS WC' date stamp DE 28 63 in red. Even with one stamp damaged a very scarce combination of alphabets. (Ref 145204).
