1857 DIE 2 1d FROM THE VERY RARE PLATE 53 PALE ROSE 'SAVOY STREET' PRINTING (SPEC C9A(1) FINE UNUSED. Fine unused 1857 Die 2 1d from the VERY RARE PLATE 53 in the pale rose shade 'SAVOY STREET' printing on cream tinted to white paper, lettered DE. Centred slightly low as are all known unused examples of this very rare printing as they all originate from the mint block of 49 discovered by J.B. Seymour, subsequently acquired by Tonna and split up by the late Donald Forbes-Smith. This example with fine colour and fine large part o.g., BPA Cert accompanies when originally part of a block of six. (Ref 145151).
