1856 DIE 2 1d PL.35 BRICK RED (SG30) VERY FINE UNUSED OVERPRINTED 'SPECIMEN' TYPE 2 (SPEC C8s). A very fine unused 1856 Die 2 1d pl.35 IN THE RARE BRICK RED SHADE (SG30) lettered TA, a little off-centre but superb o.g. overprinted 'SPECIMEN' type 2 (Spec C8s). This Die 2 specimen overprint on plate 35 has long been recognised as the colour standard for the brick red shade. (Ref 144903.)
