A fine unused 1856 Die 2 1d pl.35 IN THE RARE BRICK RED SHADE (SG30) lettered SA, a little off centre but very fine o.g. overprinted 'SPECIMEN' type 2 (Spec C8s). This Die 2 specimen overprint on plate 35 has long been recognised as the colour standard for the brick red shade. (Ref 144902).
