1841 MAIL WHITBURN, WEST LOTHIAN TO GLASGOW 1d RED PL.1b (SG7)(OC) VERY FINE USED. Fine wrapper from Whitburn to 'Charles Campbell Esq, Bank of Scotland, Glasgow' with very fine 1d red plate 1b (SG7) lettered OC fine to very fine margins and tied fine to very fine strike Whitburn Maltese cross in black. On reverse 'WHITBURN' date stamp JY 26 1841 and 'GLASGOW' date stamp 27 JY 1841. Stamp clearly shows 7 and 10 o'clock ray flaws NW square. Very fine usage plate 1b in red on cover. (Ref 144776).
