1859 MAIL BERN TO LONDON WITH CIRCULAR 'P.' HANDSTAMP IN RED. Envelope from Bern to 'Mrs Sheffield Neave, 28 Montague Square, W London', at upper right indistinct 'BERN' date stamp. On front 'LONDON/PAID' date stamp DE 31 59 also circular 'P.' handstamp in red. Mrs Sheffield Neave was the wife of the then Governor of the Bank of England, the letter is initialled at lower left 'D R Morier' her father and English diplomat. (Ref 144634).
