1840 ORIGINAL SPOONER CARICATURE NO.12 WITH SCENES OF 'HUNTING'. A superb unused ORIGINAL example of the 1840 Spooner Caricature No.12 in black on white wove paper with various scenes relating to hunting. Britannia is astride the lion going hunting 'Tally oh' and chasing after a Chinese fox. At upper left the rider exclaims 'Vell if that ere aint the most imperdent fox I ever see' whilst the rider at upper right exclaims 'Look before you leap' before possibly jumping into the unknown. At lower left and right are images where horse and rider have part company! A superb caricature. (Ref 144533).
