Envelope sent airmail Birmingham to La Paz, Bolivia KGVI 3d violet (SG467) and pair 1s bistre-brown (SG475) cancelled 'BIRMINGHAM' 20 Oct 1939, stamps paying 2s 3d sea mail to New York and then by airmail. On front 'T' tax mark due to underpayment, presume carried airmail all the way. Unusual. (Ref 144494).
