1841 1d PINK ENVELOPE USED IN LONDON UPRATED 1d RED PL.1b (SG7)(OD). Penny Pink envelope to 'Mefsrs. Hicks and Braikenridge, Bartletts's Buildings, Holborn' uprated 1d red plate 1b (SG7) lettered OD tied/cancelled slightly over inked strikes black Maltese crosses. Penny red touched upper right otherwise good margins and filing fold affects but clearly showing 7 and 10 o'clock ray flaws NW square and excellent example 'BURR RUB' under 'ONE PENNY' (Spec AS7g). On reverse good strike 'Albany St' London receiver's handstamp and London date stamp SP 20 1841. Faults but a rare uprated use 1d red plate 1b. (Ref 144472).
