Wrapper Wakefield to 'Mr Charles Clifton, Merchant, 100 William Street, New York' additional manuscript 'Per Boston Steamer Via Liverpool' with 1s green embossed (SG55), filing fold affects and just touched lower left otherwise good margins, tied fine strike '831' numeral of Wakefield. On front '5 CENTS' US accountancy mark in red, on reverse 'WAKEFIELD' date stamp FE 6 1852. Some faults but very scarce provincial usage of 1s embossed. (Ref 144443).
