Fine 1d pink envelope used in London to 'Wm Braikenridge Esq, Solicitor, Barletts Buildings, Holborn' uprated with fine to very fine 1d red plate 1c (SG7) (Spec AS8) lettered TH, four fine margins and tied fine strike London Maltese cross. On reverse good strike 'Albany St' receiver's handstamp in black (L514/ALBS10) in black and London date stamp SP 17 1841. RPS Cert 'Minor edge damage to cover is genuine'. Stamp shows weaker check letters and weaker upper stars. A very rare usage of plate 1c. (Ref 144428).
