1875 KEBLE COLLEGE, OXFORD PROOF 1¼d ENVELOPE WITH EMBOSSING OF COLLEGE ARMS IN COLOURLESS RELIEF AT UPPER RIGHT AND 'BLIND IMPRESSION' ON REVERSE, MENTIONED BY LISTER PAGE 30. A very rare proof 1875 Keble College, Oxford 1¼d envelope, 3¾" x 4¾", subsequently printed with image of Keble arms at upper right in vermilion but this proof with Keble arms at upper right in colourless relief, several tone spots affect. Envelope is on cream-tinted paper and as recorded by Lister on page 30 there is a 'blind impression' of the College arms on the back of the envelope corresponding to the embossed impression on the front. First example we have ever seen. (Ref 144355).
