Envelope with letter demanding payment 10s 6d in respect of a gold ring from Wigton to 'Mr Emmerson, Blacksmith, Denton Holme, Carlisle' with 1d lilac (SG172) tied fine strike 'WIGTON/879' duplex AP 25 87. On front 'CARLISLE' date stamp AP 28 87 and fine strike 'NOT TO BE FOUND/165' handstamp of Carlisle. On reverse initials of two postmen from attemped delivery. (Ref 144323).
