A good unused 1876 Merton College, Oxford ½d ultramarine embossed postcard 4½" x 3" with College arms embossed centre top, slight staining as usual but with manuscript '4 lbs Waste Cards (600) April 24th 80', with normal scissor cuts. This is one of 10 such delivery cards used by the printer in their despatch of College stationery to the College and recorded by him page 35. Rare. (Ref 144314).
