1833 MAIL USED IN LONDON WITH OVAL 'M.S.' HANDSTAMP DENOTING MISSORTED MAIL (L562c). Fine wrapper used in London Lucas Road 17 May 1833 'To J H Forbes Esq, 6 Ely Place, High Holborn, London', incorrectly addressed with 'High' deleted, handstamp '2' charge mark in black applied and very fine strike of the scarce 'M.S.' oval handstamp in red (L562c) applied. This handstamp believed applied to missorted mail. (Ref 144293).
