1846 MAIL NEWBURY, BERKS TO BASINGSTOKE MISSORTED WITH 'Missent to/London' HANDSTAMP ( L236). Fine wrapper from Newbury to 'Mefrs Lamb and Brooks, Solrs, Basingstoke, Hants' with manuscript '1' post paid and 'NEWBURY' date No 11 1846. Evidently missorted and sent via London with fine strike 'Missent to/London' handstamp in black (L236), this handstamp recorded in use 1839-1842. Also on front London 'PAID' date stamp and 'BASINGSTOKE' date stamp both 12 NO 1846. (Ref 144287).
