Very fine Penny Pink envelope Welshpool, Montgomeryshire to 'G H Dansey Esq, Ludlow' cancelled SUPERB STRIKE SOLID CENTRE MALTESE CROSS OF WELSHPOOL. On reverse 'WELSHPOOL' date stamp AU 17 1841 and 'LUDLOW' date stamp AU 18 1841. Mike Jackson records nineteen examples of this distinctive Maltese cross, this being the only usage on the Penny Pink.
