1886 LETTER ONLY GOVERNMENT OFFICE, JERSEY RESPONDING TO ACCUSATIONS MALTREATMENT BY JERSEY POLICE. Lengthy letter 'Government Office Jersey' 13th October 1886, the writer J. Murray Lt. Colonel, Government Secretary is responding to accusations of Police maltreatment and replies that the receipient, a Thomas Dixon of London, whilst in Jersey used an alias, interfered with the police in the execution of their duty, his behaviour before the Constable was most insolent etc. This letter was apparently 'received back through returned letter office'.
