1831 POST OFFICE RECEIPT OF REFUND OF OVERCHARGE OF POSTAGE ON FREE FRANK LETTER LONDON TO BRIGHTON. Fine printed receipt 105 x 83 mm in respect of a refund of overcharging postage on a letter London to Brighton, probably a free frank. 'RE ceived the 28 Nov 1831 of the Postm'. of Brighton the sum eight pence overcharged on a single Letter from London direct to myself which contained and was taxed 8d'. Signed at lower right 'C Hughes' very unusual. (Ref 144196).
