Fine letter from Tralee 22nd June 1827 from a former serving soldier 'To The Right Honourable The Lords Commission of His Majesty's Royal Hospital, Chelsea, London', initially charged '2/1' but crossed through and on front fine strike circular 'FREE' date stamp 27 JU 1827, confirmed by Inspector's mark. On front light strike 'TRALEE' straight line handstamp in black, letter redirected to the 'Pay Genl, Whitehall'. On reverse various date stamps including 'SUNDAY' date stamp 24 JU 1827. (Ref 144181).
