Fine letter from Goonvrea, St Agnes to 'Joseph Carne Esq, Penzance', with 1d (SG8) lettered CB, cut into at left otherwise good margins and tied fine strike black Maltese cross of Truro in black. On front fine strike boxed 'No.1' receiving house handstamp of St. Agnes, on reverse 'TRURO' date stamp AP 13 1844. The Maltese cross of Truro is more usually seen in blue than black!! (Ref 144033).
