1842 1d MULREADY WRAPPER 'LOCHWINNOCH' TAX OFFICE (SPEC MA 247a) FINE USED. Fine used 1842 1d Mulready wrapper, stereo A36 Greenock to 'Wm. Connell Esq, Writer, Lochwinnoch' cancelled black Maltese cross. Within fine printed Mulready advert with manuscript at upper right 'Tax Office Greenock; dated 15th March 1842 with printed tax demand within' and manuscript 'John Reid' the Sub-Collector at 'Lochwinnoch'. A very rare Mulready advert to be listed as MA251a and to date the only recorded example. (Ref 143949).
