1843 LARGE PART WRAPPER MANCHESTER TO DERBY 1d (SG8) MANCHESTER MALTESE CROSS. Large part wrapper, small part reverse missing from Wortley, Manchester to 'Mefsrs. J and W Goodale, White Lead Works, Derby' with 1d (SG8) lettered AA, touched at upper left otherwise good margins and tied very fine strike Manchester Maltese cross, thick outer lines not the 'Fishtail'. On reverse 'MANCHESTER' date stamp MY 2 1843 and within printed bill head 'ABRAHAM WINDLE MANUFACTURING CHEMIST'. (Ref 143931).
