CIRCA 1890 DERAEDEMAEKER REPRINT SOUTHGATE CARICATURE No. 6 'PAPAL' ENVELOPE BLACK ON WHITE WOVE PAPER. Fine unused circa 1890 Deraedemaeker reprint Southgate caricature No.6 the 'PAPAL' envelope. In the centre is the Pope with a small demon seated upon his shoulder, Daniel O'Connell is kissing the Pope's toes and a donkey takes the place of the lion. Of the four persons supporting the canopy they are believed to be Lord John Russell and Lord Melbourne. Various other illustrations mainly referring to religion. (Ref 143924).
