CIRCA 1890 VALENTINE 'TEMPERANCE' ENVELOPE DERAEDEMAEKER REPRINT IN BLACK ON GREY WOVE PAPER WITH REFERENCE TO 'MAINE LAW. Unused circa 1890 Deraedemaeker reprint Valentine Temperance envelope in black on grey wove paper, some soiling. Envelope shows the Goddess of Temperance receiving homage, at lower left are images of drunkeness with inscription 'DELIVER US FROM EVIL'. Upon a banner inscription reads 'MAINE LAW' referring to the banning of liquor in this U.S. state. (Ref 143913).
