1840 MAIL TREGONY, CORNWALL TO ST. COLUMB 1d GREY-BLACK PL.2 (SG3)(KK). Letter from Tregony to 'F C Paynter Esq, St. Columb' with 1d grey-black pl.2 (SG3) lettered KK, four very close clear to fine margins, filing fold affects, cancelled fine strike red-brown Maltese cross of Tregony and alongside 'ST AUSTELL' date stamp JY 1 1840. On reverse fine strike 'TREGONY' horseshoe style handstamp in same shade of red-brown as Maltese cross (CO340). (Ref 143891).
