Fine letter Bagni Di Lucca, Tuscany dated 16th June 1838 to 'George Lawrence Esq, Caverfield House, Romsey, Hants, Inghilterra' and charged '2/2'. On front date stamp 'LUCCA/17 GIU 1838' in black and boxed 'ITALIE PAR/LE PONT DE/BEAUVOISIN' handstamp in red. On reverse very fine Italian circular wafer seal in green and yellow depicting flowers with text 'SABATO' (Saturday) and London Foreign Branch date stamp 27 JUN 1838. Very fine. (Ref 143883).
