1842 MAIL SHEFFIELD TO EDINBURGH 1d (SG8) 'NO CORN LAWS' WAFER SEAL. Envelope, small tear at top Sheffield to ' William Tait Esq, Princes Street, Edinburgh' 1d (SG8), poorly cut from sheet so that check letters at foot are 'impossible' combination lettered BN. On reverse 'SHEFFIELD' date stamp MY 15 1842 and wafer seal white on dark blue 'WE DEMAND TOTAL AND IMMEDIATE REPEAL/NO CORN LAWS', wafer seal damaged by envelope opening. (Ref 143874).
