1841 MAIL SHEFFIELD TO LONDON 1d (SG8)(LC) WAFER SEAL ON REVERSE. 1841 wrapper, some soiling, Sheffield to 'Richard Smith, 67 Chancery Lane, London' fine 1d (SG8) lettered LC, foour close to fine margins and tied good strike black Maltese cross. On reverse 'SHEFFIELD' date stamps NO 1 1841 and very fine wafer seal black on yellow 'Stimulation produces weakness, not strength'. (Ref 143869).
