A fine unused circa 1890 Deraedemaeker reprint James Valentine 'Peace and Trade' envelope in black on grey wove paper, small mark at foot. Design is on reverse of envelope and promotes trade and peace with various peoples. Inscription reads 'OCEAN POSTAGE ONE PENNY WOULD LINK IN TRADE AND PEACE THE BOTHERHOOD OF MAN'. (Ref 143848).
