A good to fine London postcard in brown, light corner bend, used in London to South Tottenham with ½d Downey cancelled very fine strike 'FIRST UNITED KINGDOM/AERIAL POST LONDON' date stamp SP 9 1911 Die 1. On reverse message reads 'This card was posted at Gamages at 1 o'clock and is timed to leave London at 4 o'clock tomorrow (Saturday) hope it will have a safe journey'. Gamages was one of twelve locations in London where these cards could be purchased and posted. (Ref 143735).
