Fine used 1841 1d grey-black plate eleven (SG30) lettered CI, four fine margins, in the distinctive grey-black shade with good strike black Maltese cross. Matched with good used 1d red (SG7) lettered CI, very close at foot otherwise fine margins cancelled black Maltese cross. Both clearly show 7 o'clock ray flaw NE square and weak right frame line.
