CIRCA 1824 COACHING INN RECEIPT 'CASTLE INN, BANGOR'. A good to fine circa 1824 Coaching Inn receipt, slight soiling at upper left, 97 x 158 mm from 'W. WILLIAMS, CASTLE INN, BANGOR' in respect of dinner, wine, beer, spirits, hay and corn, Postage of Letters etc totalling £2-11-4d. At top of receipt fine image of a Post Coach inscribed 'Prince of Wales Post Coach, every day to London and Holyhead'. The Castle Inn was formerly named 'Mitre Inn' and adjacent was the Post Office owned by John Rasbrook, the Postmaster. Very fine. (Ref 143637).
