1782 MAIL HOLYHEAD, ANGLESEA TO LONDON WITH 'BANGOR' HANDSTAMP (W184). Letter from Holyhead dated May 20th 1782 to 'Robert Chester Esq, Secretary to the Governors of Queen Anne's Bounty, Brick Temple, London', charged '4'. On reverse good strike 'BANGOR' straight line handstamp in black (W184) small part overstruck London Bishop mark '24/MA'. Letter from a William Jones, Curate of a place called Llangwyllog stating that he was obliged to quit due to bad state of health and stating his desire that the Governors will not withold the Bounty annexed to the Curacy amounting to £40.00. Letter slightly fragile but fine and scarce Queen Anne's letter from Anglesea. (Ref 143633).
