Letter from Chester dated April 14 1744 to 'Henry Montague Esq, in Lincoln's Inn, London' signed at lower left and on front manuscript 'P' (L763) presumably meaning privilege. On reverse good strike 'CHES/TER' two line handstamp in black (CH74) listed in County Catalogue but no dates given. Some faults and soiling as usual with Queen Anne's Bounty mail, this letter references the Chapel of Rufsland and the Parish of Coulton, Archdeconary of Richmond. (Ref 143033).
