1840 MISFOLDED 1D MULREADY ENVELOPE WAKEFIELD TO DUBLIN. A fine to very fine used 1d Mulready envelope from Wakefield, West Yorks to 'M H Close Esq, 14 Lower Mount St, Dublin' cancelled very fine strike red Maltese cross of Wakefield., on front contemporary ink note with details of sender. The Mulready envelope has been curiously misfolded, VERY UNUSUAL. On reverse 'WAKEFILED' date stamp OC 30 1840 and 'Dublin dates tamp  Oct 31 40. Attractive and unusual. (Ref 142776).
