Used London postcard in brown, tear at lower left, from London to Weston Super Mare with KGV ½d tied fine strikes 'FIRST UNITED KINGDOM/AERIAL POST LONDON' date stamp SP 14 1911 die 2. Redirected to Stonehouse, Glos and on front 'WESTON SUPER MARE' date stamp SP 20 11. On reverse lengthy message in small writing describing the aerial post with the number of mail bags carried etc. Also superb illustrated letter, 205 x 258 mm on 'A.W. GAMAGE LTD' with fine picture of their flagship shop in central London and detailing the price of the Aerial Post stationery. (2 items). (Ref 142066).
